As managing director, Luke Kipfer is responsible for PowerHouse Data Centers' development and construction operations and multidisciplinary team. Recognized as a highly accomplished leader, Luke oversees every element of development strategy, from site selection and entitlements to turn-key buildouts and delivery. Luke has almost two decades of mission-critical experience, having developed major data center projects nationwide for hyperscale tenants and managing teams of over 250 development and construction professionals. His leadership style, characterized by thoughtful collaboration and exacting standards, is instrumental in his success.

Before joining AREP, Luke was regional director at Direct Line Global, overseeing project management and operations for several of the world’s largest hyperscale data center sites across the East Coast. Prior to Direct Line Global, he was director of construction at Markley Group, managing all aspects of design and construction for New England’s largest colocation, mission-critical telecommunications and data center facility.  

Luke holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations & Project Management and a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). 

Luke currently resides in Ashburn, Virginia, the world's number one data center market.
